WHAT? After it was so nice yesterday and we scooped the rest of the snow off the deck......it is snowing this morning! Luckily we aren't supposed to get much and it should be shortlived. Darn snow! We have had so much this year, there is probably still 6" left in most of our backyard. Good thing its not 2' deep like it was a month ago! It was so nice yesterday afternoon that the kids and I were in the backyard without coats on-for the first time since October! Go away snow!!

The many faces of Ella Maye :) She was posing for me and jumping
around when I had the camera out the other day. Its hard to believe she is almost 4 1/2 years old already! She's super excited to start kindergarten (even though she has 1.5 years left!). She gets to come to Sam's class though for all of his parties and really enjoys that. She is in dance class right now on Monday nights and enoys that also. The kitten she has in one of the pictures she picked out at our local pumpkin patch in October. She named her Ariel. Ella's favorite things right now are princesses and.....princesses :)

100th Day!
Sam had his 100th day of school on Friday. Apparently this is a pretty big thing-although I don't remember it from when I was little! They had a party, got to wear funny hats and glasses, recieved a certificate and the teacher made a $100 bill with their picture on it (see below). He was very excited about this! By the 100th day they have learned to count to 100 in 5's and 10's - Sam did both of them for me! Yay Sam!

I promise to get better at blogging!

Ok-so its been 2 years since I have blogged. Oops! Can I blame it on the fact that 2 kids, a husband, work, a dog, 2 cats, and a house have been keeping me way too busy? :)

Sam is now in Kindergarten and is loving it. It is a LONG day (7:45am-3pm) but I think he really enjoys it. I am helping out every other Thursday afternoons and so far he really likes having me there. I know that soon will pass, so I'll take it when I can get it! He is starting to read and doing a really great job at it! Its hard to believe he'll be 6 in April!

Ella is in daycare about 17 hours a week while I work. She really likes it and has some good friends there. One of her good friends is named Emma and they are adorable together! They give each other hugs most mornings when Ella gets there :) Next year Ella will start a pre-school program (the same one Sam went to) called Bright Beginnings, it is 3 days per week in the mornings. Sam really loved it and Ella is already excited to go. She turned 4 in November.

Brent is as busy as ever with school. This year he is just teaching at the high school. He teaches wind ensemble, concert band, jazz 1, jazz 2, choir, and a productions tech class. He just got back from all state and a convention in Yakima and is leaving again soon for the Idaho Jazz Festival.

I am still working from home doing bookkeeping. Its about 25 hours a week and a good mix of working a little and being home with the kids.

We are always working aroudn the house it seems....last year Brent built a fence around the backyard-this year we are tearing down the rest of the old fence so we will have a totally new fence. We are also replacing the deck, getting a new garage door (we have to, our old one broke), and hopefully putting down laminate flooring in my office and our bedroom. So many projects, so little time (and money)!

I'll try and remember how to post some pictures in my next post!
